PREVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAMS

We recognize that the best defense against sexual predators is to empower and educate the parents, children, and members of our community. Check out the programs we offer below and request a free training.

A training that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children as well as organizations that serve youth. This training is ideal for educators, law enforcement or any groups that work with children.

PROTECT YOURSELF

A series of lessons teaching children how to recognize and respond to abduction and abusive situations. These lessons are currently implemented 1st and 3rd grade classrooms throughout Isabella County.

A training is offered to community members and professionals throughout Isabella County who are mandated to report child abuse and neglect and/or would like to learn more about what child abuse is and how to report it.

CRIBS FOR KIDS

This program allows us to provide safe sleep materials for infants in Isabella County. Parents or primary caregivers who are in need of a safe sleeping space for their infant can participate in this program. After completing the one hour safe sleep education program, caregivers will receive a new pack-n-play, along with other materials promoting safe sleep.

SAFER SMARTER TEENS

A series of lessons teaching children how to recognize and respond to abduction and abusive situations. These lessons are currently implemented in middle and high schools throughout Isabella County.

LUNCH & LEARN

Lunch & Learns are an opportunity for community members and professionals to gather together and learn about prevention on many different topics.  These events feature an expert guest speaker.  Lunch is always provided. 

Car Seat Safety

Attend a Car Seat Safety event or make an appointment to have our Child Passenger Safety Technician inspect a current car seat, ensure correct car seat installation, and provide education for proper use and installation.  Free car seats are available for those who qualify.
